London Restaurant Festival in October 2018 in UK
If you are in a dilemma of planning out your next month then prepare to be dazzled. The London Restaurant Festival is slated to return in the month of October. This highly festival returns for its 10th anniversary this year. It is expected to take place across 400 restaurants all across the capital with an expected turnover of more than 50,000 people. Like always, there will be a plethora of different culinary experiences taking place including exclusive dinners and scheduled chef hosted events.
The London Food Festival is a grand event showcasing London’s great diversity and position in the culinary world. As per schedule, the initial day will be kicked off by Bill Granger from the famed Granger and Co. who will be flying all the way from Australia to London. Also accompanying him in the event would be the famous Thai Chef DuangpornSongvisava from Bangkok as well as the decorated female chef Anne-Sophie who has the distinction of holding seven Michelin stars.
The LRF is combined specifically of two main events namely the events and the festival menu. There will also be a separate section for side order where different individual restaurants will get their shot as well as support to directly appeal and connect with their own market. Unlike other food festivals in UK, the LRF aims to make a difference and includes its legendary Gourmet Odysseys, Restaurant Hopping Tours as well as Meet the Chef Experience. This will include a tour of some of the city’s best food neighbourhoods including Chelsea’s Pavilion Road, St James Market, Regent Street etc. All the guest will enjoy a course at five different restaurants located in the area along with paired wines and drinks from the local places like the likes of City of London Gin, Remy Martin, as well as paired wines from Chalie Richard Wines. The Champagne Gourmet Odyssey by LRF will allow one to take in the beautiful landscape. There is also said to be a Thai Gourmet Odyssey which was introduced the previous year and will be covered thoroughly. Some popular hotels will be hosting the entire 4 months event including Estrella Galicia, Taberno do Mercado, Barrafina etc. The Thai Gourmet Odyssey will also celebrate Thailand’s culinary scene and its impact on the London food arena. There will also be a new event this year in the form of Eat Art which will help fuse two of the city’s great passion for a private view and dinner at the famous Saatchi Gallery. The Eat Talk is another event which will see the best industry chefs that will include the likes of Pierre Hoffman, Helena Puolakka and Tom Kitchin. Some other famous chefs at the event will include Andrew Wong of the A Wong fame. Patrons will also get to hear from the husband and wife duo of James Knapett and Sandia Chang from the famed Kitchen Table restaurant.
