Experience the Best Nightlife at Ibiza
Situated amongst the Balearic Islands off the coast of Spain, the Mediterranean island of Ibiza is known for its vibrant nightlife. This little party island, also known as Eivissa, is a major stop for many Europe travelers and backpackers because of the fun atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and relaxed nature. Whether your goal is to dance the night away or immerse yourself in relaxation and health (or a balance between the two), you will find many options to fit your tastes in Ibiza.
Food
Ibiza is full of enough delicious cafes, restaurants and food stands to keep any hungry traveler satisfied. A fun break from the regular restaurants would be an adventure through the wharf side festival that features a hoard of local food stands with fresh and hot food made right in front of you. One local favorite is called ensaimada, it resembles a doughnut mixed with a Danish and can be a great breakfast treat. Another local specialty is flao, which is similar to the popular Spanish dessert- flan but mint flavored and covered in a sweet cheese. For lunch or dinner, you will want to hunt down some Paella, which is meat or seafood based dish with rice and flavored with saffron. Or try the Borrida de Ragada, which is a fish dish of freshly caught Skate that is baked with almonds. Some local drinks that are popular include Granizados, Vi Pages, and Hierbas Ibicencas. Granizados is a refreshing concoction made with freshly squeezed local fruit that is frozen then crushed. Vi Pages is a local wine known for its robust flavor. Hierbas Ibicencas is a unique drink that is known to be good for your digestion- it is flavored with aniseed and local herbs and served on the rocks.
Relaxation
Although the Ibiza certainly knows how to party, they also know how to relax. Exploring the many beaches located along the coast and find the perfect spot to drop your towel and take a nap in the sun or float in the waves nearby. You can easily rent beach chairs and floats at most of the beaches for a small fee. Finding a hotel is simple since there are a wide variety of hostel style accommodations to ritzy top notch resorts. The Revival Wellness Club is a five-star hotel and spa where you can take relaxation to another level whether relaxation means spa treatments, massages, and facials or exercise and detox programs (or both!). They have many pools (one with a wave machine) and steam rooms for your relaxation purposes, as well as a high-tech gym with personal training rooms and fitness studios for yoga and pilates. The Hacienda Na Xamena Ibiza is also a solid choice when looking for a place to relax and unwind. They have incredible views to take in and awesome deals like customized health programs for fitness or just health and wellness. They have a full spa with relaxation services, hammam-shower, and a series of pools and lagoons that include a gorgeous seawater infinity pool with a waterfall that is perched on top of cliffs and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Night Life
The thing Ibiza is most recognized for is the large clubs and venues where the big names in the music industry will perform. These massive clubs, including Amnesia, Es Paradis, Space and many more, are quite an experience and will cost you a pretty penny to get in unless you can find a special deal from someone on the street or in your hotel. One club that is particularly fun and relaxing at the same time is the Jockey Club where you can listen to relaxing vibes while laying around and drinking on the beach. A unique atmosphere is offered at The Zoo Project where you can hang out during the day and party at night. They encourage people to get painted and take on a new persona and tribe per say. This experience is a great way to break people out of their shells and let them live it up while they are there. Pacha is also a great experience for most as it is one of the biggest venues for top DJs and performers with five different rooms filled with a variety of genres for club-goers to choose from.
